How To Get Riding Directions

If you have already chosen a stretch you'd like to ride, follow these steps to switch from Greatest Road to the Maps app and ride the stretch from the start to the end. The Greatest Road app itself does not provide en route directions - we leave that to one of the currently-available, excellent apps out there. We have integrated with the built-in Maps app for now but expect we'll be able to hand you over to the likes of Motion-X Drive, TomTom, Mobile Navigator and others before too long.

1. Use the main features of the app to get to the page for a stretch you'd like to ride, then tap Start Ride. For example:
   
   
   

    

2. You will see a Warning message indicating you are exiting Greatest Road. Tap OK
   
   
   

    

3. If you want to start the ridefrom the beginning of the stretch, tap Don't Allow. If you want to start the ride from your current location, tap Allow. The app will stop asking you this question after several times with the same answer:
   
   
   

    

4. If you tapped Don't Allow, you will see this message. Tap OK:
   
   
   

    

5. You will be handed over to the Maps application. To get to the turn-by-turn directions, tap Start
